1. Kissht gets exchange approvals for a ₹832 crore capital raise
On October 20, OnEMI Technology Solutions disclosed in a regulatory filing that the BSE and NSE had granted in-principle approvals for its proposed preferential issue of up to 2.65 crore equity shares at ₹314.11 each, a raise of ₹832.2 crore. The board approved the plan on September 17 and shareholders backed it on October 14. Entrackr’s report says 34 investors are expected to participate, including Axis Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, MIT, WhiteOak, 360 ONE, Groww Mutual Fund and Bandhan Mutual Fund. The company’s September 18 filing to the NSE set out the proposed use: 75% of proceeds for Si Creva Capital Services, its wholly owned lending subsidiary, and 25% for general corporate purposes. These are in-principle approvals for a proposed issue—not evidence that the money has already been received.
The timing makes the capital plan notable: it follows the company’s ₹926 crore IPO roughly five months ago. Kissht says stronger capitalisation could help it improve credit ratings, lower borrowing costs and expand lending. Those are company expectations, not guaranteed outcomes. More lending capacity does not automatically mean cheaper or more suitable loans for customers; the effects depend on underwriting, pricing and repayment practices. Because this is an equity issue, it adds capital to the lender rather than directly funding a customer discount. Whether the larger capital base supports growth without weakening loan quality will need to be assessed in later disclosures. Entrackr did not report a valuation attached to this proposed issue.
Stock alert and market impact
| Scrip | Latest available quote | Read-through |
|---|---|---|
| NSE: KISSHT | ₹342.70, down 1.18% at the October 19 close — no later bar was returned before the October 21 market open (Yahoo Finance chart) | Neutral: exchange approvals are not completed allotment and do not themselves change borrower pricing. |
The quote feed had no October 20 bar when checked before the October 21 market open, so this is a dated last-available price, not a live quote. The potential upside for the lender is greater funding capacity; the counterweight remains whether credit growth preserves loan quality.
2. SBI-linked data allegation is still not a confirmed breach
A Moneycontrol report published October 20 revisited a claim first raised on October 16 by cybersecurity-monitoring account CyberPulse56: an unidentified group calling itself Siriusim allegedly had SBI-linked records and documents. The report relays the monitor’s figures—375,000 CSV entries and 2,722 PDFs—but explicitly says the material’s authenticity, origin and extent have not been independently verified. Those counts do not establish how many people, if any, are affected; Moneycontrol does not independently establish that SBI systems were compromised or that the documents came directly from the bank. A file count is not a unique-customer count, and this reporting does not establish that account credentials or payment systems were affected. Moneycontrol’s account is therefore a report of an allegation, not confirmation of a breach. Customers should not mistake the reported file counts for a verified customer-impact figure.
Policy and UPI check
No fintech-relevant RBI circular or new NPCI/UPI operating change surfaced in this 24-hour scan. The RBI press-release index showed its latest entries dated October 19, covering liquidity operations and securities auctions rather than fintech rules. The newest item on SEBI’s circular list was dated October 15, outside this window. NPCI’s press-release page and indexed search did not surface a new UPI announcement in the period. The most concrete funding update found was Kissht’s proposed issue; it is a listed lender’s equity raise, not a newly announced venture-capital round.
